Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County Build - National Philanthropy Day
It's time to roll up your sleeves and dive into a fulfilling experience with the Greater Tampa Realtors x Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco group builds for National Philanthropy Day! Remember to register early as the Habitat system will not allow sign-ups within 48 hours of a build. If you need to cancel, you can do so online and contact VP of Strategic Partnerships, Quan Remmer. Build Details: Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Subject To Change) Location: 37301 Finnerty Way, Dade City, Florida. (If your GPS doesn't recognize this, try 37301 Garvin Place Rd.) Day of Build: Safety Briefing: Our construction director, Jose Garcia, will start each day with a safety meeting. Lunch: Bring your lunch or enjoy nearby dining options—lunch break is approximately one hour. Dress Code: Wear closed-toed shoes for safety (boots are not required). Preparation: Waiver: Please sign the waiver available on the volunteer sign-up site and bring it with you. Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old; those under 18 require a parent-signed waiver and must be accompanied by an adult. Extras: Tools and Safety Gear: All necessary tools, safety equipment, and PPE will be provided along with bottled water. The Art and Science of Negotiation (4CE)
Want to take your negotiation skills to the next level? In this course, we will use the negotiation skills you have learned through negotiating training and / or experience in helping you negotiate. Reality is a perception, and you will get practice at “bending” your opponent’s reality. Put your skills to the test. Prior to engaging in negotiation exercises we will review personality types and negotiating tactics and patterns. Upon completion of this course, will be able to: Understand the various personality styles Exploring the realm of possibilities without committing to anything Experience negotiation in multiple ways Real life difficult negotiation experiences Knowing the background of the story before negotiating Different negotiation techniques for different audiences Understand several key insights and theories that are very useful in negotiating Negotiation in the movies Know the different negotiation scenarios Instructor Brian Woods is a seasoned real estate broker, investor, property manager, community association manager, real estate instructor and speaker. Mr. Woods owns and operates multiple real estate brokerages, a community association management firm and a real estate school. In 2013, Mr. Woods was awarded the Mid-Size Broker of the Year Award from the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. He also owns two real estate investor associations in South Florida. Florida licensees will earn 4 hours of Specialty CE Credit upon successful course completion.

Hurricane Recovery and the FEMA 50% Rule - LIVE STREAM ONLY
This course will be hosted via Live Stream Only With the devastating effects of the recent Hurricanes in the Tampa Bay area, understanding the next steps in the recovery process is key. This class will teach attendees about the impacts of the FEMA 50% rule on rebuilding property after the storm and other considerations following a hurricane. Instructor : Attorney David Reider, Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC David grew up in Pinellas County, Florida before graduating with a B.A. in History and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida in addition to a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Florida. After attending New York Law School and earning a Public Service Certificate for his community service during law school, David returned to St. Petersburg and quickly settled into a career in Real Estate Law. David is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida as well as the State of Illinois and practiced in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Southern District of Florida. He is an active member in both the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Division and the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estates Section. With over a decade of experience handling real estate transactions and litigation work throughout the state of Florida as well as his work as a licensed Realtor prior to joining Berlin Patten Ebling, David offers a wealth of expertise in the areas of commercial and residential real property transactions Beyond his legal expertise, David volunteered as a supervisor with the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team and provided consulting services to humanitarian and healthcare related projects such as an emergency response plan for a hospital in Eswatini, Africa. In his free time, David can be found playing in various bands or on the ice rink and soccer fields throughout the Tampa Bay area. He also enjoys spending time in downtown St Pete with his wife, son, and dog, Wrigley.
